ICE FISHING
The Tom Dennis River is prone to flooding during the spring and summer.
However, during the fall and winter there is some very nice ice fishing. It culminates in the 'Frosty Bobber' tournament, which is held each January.
South Dakota hosts some of the finer ice fishing available. Not as good as the state to the North, but still a nice river!
If you are looking to fish the Tom Dennis River, please consider using the following tackle:
Short, flimsy rods-the fish like the flimsy rods.
Heavy lures, the current will pull the lure out of the view of your Vexilar, otherwise.
Shelter-I like the Fish Trap
Good reading material-such as the Herald. (I think the Editor likes this!)
Ample supply of bait. Don't run out.
Mr. Dokken and his repertoire of fishing equipment.
The Jacobs fishing lure...it's new this year.
The Yellowbird flashlight-shines wherever you go.
The Haggerty signal flare-in case you get stuck.
And most importantly, the Maidenberg Porta-potty. (No-one likes yellow snow!) |
While all of these features are needed on the Tom Dennis River, none are as elusive as the Bakken-below-the-fold articles. He's hilarious!
As for signage in GF? Well...ok!
